*MY NAME IS SHEILA ENE ALOGWU. I AM FROM THE MIDDLE BELT AND PARTLY IBO.*
I have been a member of NCA for the past 3 years. I joined NCA because I wanted to give back to my community having been a strong member in my local organizations and church.
Immediately I joined NCA, I was drafted into the executive as an Assistant Social Secretary but later became the Social Secretary .
During my tenure, we organized activities like Women’s Day, Men’s day, Nigerian Independence ceremony, NCA collaboration with Leadership and Governance and more programs.
I am looking forward to having a second chance to really serve the community the way I would love to by working with the renewed energy to organize programs like Naijafest or Naija carnival, Taste of Naija, Miss Nigeria, Independence anniversary, different Nigerian and Canadian events.
I also would love to organise events for the elderly, the youths, the men, the children and the women.
I will equally work with other team members to reach out to the African community to unite and organize joint programs all in conjunction with my boss, the Social Secretary and all Exco members.
I am very calm, level headed, able to withstand pressure and progressive.
During the last administration, I was bumped up to the position of the Social Secretary and I was able to successfully carry out the task.
I really want to make a difference in the community. I can see the direction this Association is going now and I want you to please give me the opportunity to finish what I started under the past administration to serve the community successfully.
This is about service to the community. I truly want to serve. I want to make a difference. Please give me the opportunity and you will be glad you did.
